Tajawal is one of the largest travel and tourism companies in the Middle East. This project focuses on the company's travel app, which is a crucial customer touchpoint for booking flights and hotels.

Objective

Despite its popularity, the Tajawal app needed a redesign to elevate the quality of the user experience, which was a customer demand. Data analysis and user testing indicated UX friction and interactions that could be simplified. The objective was to redesign the app, with a strong focus on the user interface (UI) and interaction design, to reduce friction, simplify flows, and introduce new features allowing the apps became scalable from design.

Process

The process was guided by data and user feedback, aiming to support the product's continuous evolution.


  • Research and Analysis:
    The redesign was based on user testing and data analysis to identify UX friction points.


  • Design System Creation:
    To support the apps' evolution and improve team collaboration, a consistent Design System was created and implemented. It was based on atomic methodology, including all components, typography, icons, colors, and style patterns.


  • Interaction Design and Handoff:
    Deliveries of new features were detailed, including animations, prototypes, navigation flows, and the final UI, to precisely guide the development team.

The project delivered a revamped application and a robust design system that improved the user experience and team efficiency.

    The app was redesigned with a focus on UI quality and micro-interactions, such as animations in the login and payment flows, making the experience more fluid and enjoyable.
